But, maybe, after Capcom sees how well this remake sells, they will continue with the old school formula. I for one am very excited about this game. I've played every version of the first with the gamecube remake being my favorite and I'll continue to buy it. Love the atmosphere of the mansion.
This is actually one game I would by over and over again as long as they kept it true to the original. I'm hoping they add a little just to change it up a bit but that's it. Give me a much prettier picture using the same paint for this one.

The Sad truth is that only the Original fans of the Resident Evil Series consider 4-6 failures. All the big wigs think there glowing successes. Sucks, I too have many fond memories of Capcom. I looked forward to hearing that they were coming out with a new game or new game in one of their many franchises. Now, "Crickets" from me.
I've been saying this for years now. RE4 was a great game but i hate it for turning resident evil into the crap that it is today. RE4 is the game that changed direction for the series and its success paved the way for the garbage that followed.

I'm 40 and grew up on games of all types. I remember being in college and seeing this new console "the Playstation" back in 1996 and drooling at resident evil. I then bought a gamecube just for the remake of the first Resident Evil and to this day, that games is one of my all time greatest games. I personally would buy a remake of the first 3 resi games every time they remade it. Its a pity that the series has turned into the abomination that it currently is. I still refuse ...

So, now I'm confused. Is this game a call of duty - Halo multiplayer game or is this more of a go off and explore the universe with friends type of game? I thought it was kind of like what The Division is gonna be like but only on a larger scale. This looks like basic team DM or Domination to me.
Still one of the best games made IMO and this is my Favorite of the series. If you have not ever played the remake of RE for the gamecube, find a copy! Truely Capcom at their best before they turned to crap.
The strange thing about the 360 is that even though it is doing terrible over in Japan, it still seems to sell its 200+ consoles every week. I would have thought it would have fallen off of the map by now. I still am shocked at the poor sales of the PS4 though.
